Users have reported that Discord search is not working and the app throws a “we dropped magnifying glass” error. If you are facing as well, we have the solutions.
How can I fix the Discord search issue?
1. Check for any Discord server issues
The main functions of Discord depend largely on the server. When a server crashes or crashes, many of Discord’s features, such as search functionality will not work.
When this happens, it’s a good idea to check Discord’s status page. On this page, you can check if the client is currently experiencing server issues and if its services (or APIs) are affected and a solution is being used for you.
You can see that major outages are indicated by red lines, while partial ones are indicated by yellow lines. If you scroll down the page, you can find current and old events in Discord services. You can also check what measures have been taken to fix the issues.

2. Your internet connection may be slow
Some of the Discord’s functions, including the search option, may not work properly, causing Internet connectivity issues. In this case, it is a good idea to check if you are experiencing connection issues or any slowdowns.
For example, if you are currently connected via Wi-Fi, check that your signal is strong. A weak Wi-Fi signal can cause lag or functionality issues, in which case it is a good idea to use an Ethernet cable or improve your Wi-Fi connection.
