It is very frustrating when your computer crashes. The error message ” Your pc ran into a problem and needs to restart” does not help at all. After restarting the computer, you will get the error again. But don’t worry. You can fix the error by following the instructions below.

What is the cause of this error?

When your computer does not work properly due to some issues, Windows will crash and you will get a blue screen. Blue screen errors are most common errors in Windows, and are often rooted to the same problem as your pc ran into a problem and needs to restart.

Method 1: Remove the external hardware

The problem is that the external hardware is not working properly. If you have connected external hardware, such as a USB device or external hard drive, disconnect them. Check again if the computer is working properly.

Method 4: Remove recently installed software or applications

If an error occurs after you install a new software or application, it may be caused by that software or application. If so, uninstall the software or application to see if the issue is resolved.

Method 5: Fix computer overheating

Overheating the computer can cause blue screen errors. Check if your computer is overheating. If your computer temperature is 90 degrees Celsius or higher, you are probably experiencing abnormal heat. You can use a temperature monitor device or download CPU-Z to check the temperature.

To fix the overheating problem, shut down your computer for a while, maybe 30 minutes. After that, restart it to see if the computer is working properly.

A non-functioning cooling fan, a broken heat sink or dust in the case can cause the computer to overheat. If your computer overheats, contact your local computer repair shop for assistance.
